Does anyone know if any of the older shows such as the Galloping
Gourmet or James Beard's I Love to Eat ever made it onto video in any
form? Perhaps a nostalgia collection of vintage TV.

um actually that is an Asian bootlegger. Nice looking site but check the
pricing. I don't think the entire Criterion Collection just dropped to $10 a
pop.
I am not clear if GG was ever legally released but the copy on that site is
not legit.

I thought you might take a run at it so I got here early and made a
number of updates before the West Coast woke up. I will lay off the
rest of the day.

anything about this film. I have sent more than six emails to the French

A little more googling and it is clear the TV show was never legally

Just in case this one was of interest to anyone else on the list, I'll offer a
follow-up. After some help from Jessica offlist, consultation of the Variety
review and emailing with the Paramount rights person, I fired off emails or
phone calls to 5 possible matches... and luckily hit upon one
I doubt you will have much luck . The film clearly had no US distribution so
you have to find the owner/sales agent. The director appears to have a
Facebook page and this company seems to deal with some of his films in
Europe so maybe they have some information.
Gary and Chris, this is such an amazing resource, thank you both for doing it
and making it public.
Cheers,

Great! I love these kinds of lists. If anyone feels so inclined, they could
also go through the Warner

(which now also lists the Columbia Classics releases) to mark any of
those that are still on the unavailable list. I made

Hello, All.
I wondered if anyone can tell me where I may obtain the public
performance rights for the following titles, besides trying to contact
each and every one of the studios individually. :'(
These films will be used on campus in a non-theatrical venue with no
admissions. Notice of

We ran these kinds of reports some years ago when I was trying to advocate for
more money (and, more importantly, more respect) for film in the academic
setting. I think it may also have had to do with getting supporting data for
purchasing the FMG package (or going in with ASU on a pilot to

I do this kind of thing. From here would you use this info to PR your
collection or get any other information that patrons might find useful? Or PR
the titles that are not in the top 250, but are in other 'top lists'.Are
you going to publish the top 250 or 100?
I agree with Gary
I get a VHS and DVD report about once a year - sometimes using
different variables. I use it to decide on second copies, streaming
title purchases, DVD upgrades, and stuff like that. Our all-time
leader had been Titicut Follies for documentaries (Eyes on the Prize

I'm sorry about being so slow to reply. I think it's good to have a
protocol when it's under current discussion on Videolib and there's
likely to be some overlapping activity. If history's any guide though
the likelihood of overlapping editors at other times is practically
