Does anyone know where this film might be distributed. A few years ago it was unavailable in the US, but maybe that has changed? Because We Were Born is beyond wonderful and illustrates poverty and divisions within single cultures in a way I've never seen accomplished in a film. Any help

Dear Collective Mind, We want to set a default amount for replacement cost for our AV. I need to know if you have such a policy and if you do what is your default amount. We used to have the amount the same as the cost of the item. But we have been faced with a lot of items never returned.

Tweeting seems a particularly inappropriate venue for discussing copyright issues given the limited number of characters one can respond with and the complexity of copyright law and licensing, lack of bright lines for amounts to be copied, and all the variables which must be considered. I

At Wake Forest we have a standard replacement cost for videos and DVDs of $50. Granted, many of the DVDs we lend cost more than $50, but many more cost less since we have a large collection of feature films. So that seemed to be a good acceptable replacement cost. Mary Beth On Wed, Feb 25, 2015

Our default is $200. Plus $10 late fees and $10 processing fee. Automatically bills at 7 days overdue. When the student returns it, the $200 goes away, they pay $20. (Faculty and staff don't have to pay late fees). If lost and patron reports it to us, we charge actual replacement cost up to
