I don't think there's anything wrong with printing out and collating
a Wikipedia entry if it's clearly indicated on the cover that the
content of the book is what is available online for free. Some people

Hard to imagine someone so cheap or stupid that they can't print it

Hello All,
We're doing the VHS-->DVD upgrade bit and I've had a request to replace
our VHS version of Star Wars Trilogy. I would like to get the "Complete
Saga" but it was only released on Blu-Ray in September and now there are
rumblings that it will be released in 3d sometime this year. Does

One of my favorites is the musical Heißer Sommer. It's like the DDR's
solution to Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello. There's a line in one of the
songs that translates to something like, "We're a collective not a gang!"
Definitely not as heavy as Fassbinder.

Anyone know where we might find a VHS or DVD version of SIX FEET OF THE COUNTRY
(1982)? It's a 30-minute film adaptation of Nadine Gordimer's book by the

for purchase with the exception of a "free" (for paid subscri
The site "DL4all.com" won't actually have it - they list your search request in
their results and as you saw, try to get you to pay for a subscription before
you find out they actually don't have it.

Would this by chance be one of the CITY LOVERS/ COUNTRY LOVERS
stories? I had an exceptionally rare copy of this in one of those old
padded early VHS cases and I actually donated it to a University. I
would check OCLC for this but keep in mind it has been out of print

Roger,
Thanks for the warning about this site! I've run across it before, but
hesitated when it involved subscribing first.

Yes, this a collection of short films based on Nadine Gordimer's short stories.
The collection title is listed as SIX FEET OF COUNTRY, but CITY LOVERS &
COUNTRY LOVERS are two of the 5-6 titles that are part of this collection.
According to the various OCLC records there are really only about
Try the Univ of Michigan ( just make sure they loan it as opposed to
copying it). I donated my copy there so you should have some cred on
it.
Should have kept it and rented it out myself.

Who knows...I stopped paying attention when I heard that the Blu-Ray versions
are altered even more than the "special edition" (post-1997) releases, and
don't include the original theatrical release versions.
There are plenty of secondhand DVD copies available on Amazon Marketplace.

Sadly, I've previously spotted many of these "books" for sale on Amazon.
There's a generic publisher name, no indication that they've merely printed
pages from the internet.
You have to be paying attention to notice that it's a 7 page publication...

Sorry to hear that your admin is dictating this move without giving you time to

Take a deep breath.
Open stacks are not the enemy, and can be a great thing for visibility & usage

Sounds like they're still going to be within sight of the library staff? That's
