Well, for everyone who suspected that the IIci would work on a PC
multiscan screen with an adapter that allowed me to define it as fixed
res I can categorically say it doesn't, more is the pitty. I can only
say I am unashamedly thankful that the guy who sold me the stuff I
picked up yesterday

One thing that some of those old Supra modems are good for is caller ID. I
use Mac Caller ID with a Supra 14.4 to log every call to my home phone.

Will do. I suspect pickle is more likely to be correct but it's an idea,
my friend has one of those

The problem is that the PC monitor is multiscan. If it weren't, and
adapter would likely suffice.

Sounds like a nice partner for the SE/30: they should make a handy email
combo :)
Got one setup
I'm trying to install 3.0.1 on my IIci. I have an external Apple CD300
(borrowed form my 840av) hung on the machine in a jury rig and it
definitely works. I boot the machine form the A/UX Boot Install floppy
and it just brings up a blank desktop with no drives or anything and
nothing happens.

Yeh, thanks for that ;)
How much memory is installed in the IIci?
8MB, do I need more?

I don't *think* so but just to point out, my A/UX IIci has 24MB in it.
With 30-pin RAM being so cheap I'd put some more in it anyway,

not you get A/UX running.
I intend to, doesn't really solve my problem though

You must use an adapter that seperates the sync

Oh, it's useful, but SLOW at 14.4 Kbit/sec.
The A/UX FAQ is here.
