How to get playlist onto iPod Touch

Hello list I got a new iPod Touch. I have many iTunes playlists on my pc but with the latest iTunes I can just not figure out how to transfer the playlists to the iPod. In the past I could just check a playlist with spacebar and then tab to the sync button and enter but this does not work
