I’m looking for something that would be useful on say a 100 or 200 mile hike in the woods, say At trail. Either something GPS locations can be added to or if possible even have it follow us on a map to indicate if we are on the trail. I’m new at this so not sure what is the most helpful.

Will it launch if you double tap its icon? If so, in my opinion, that would be better than losing a bunch of settings or data if you have to reinstall it. If it will launch, just move its icon to a very easily found place. I assume you have restarted your phone since this problem started.
