Well, to test this, I went and turned audio ducking on, but on or off, all audio books play just fine for me. So that may have nothing to do with your issue. But for me, not only do audio books play just fine, but the speed adjustment sticks. I wish I had a good suggestion for what else to try.
Based on someone else’s post, is audio ducking on? If so, turn it off and see
if it plays.

Now, I am no longer able to play previously downloaded audio books from
bookshare in the voicedream app. As soon as I press play, the app closes
