What hotspot are you using? A while back with my iPod touch fourth GEN I used a

was a matter of letting the app settle down, I've let it sit, but the
app just crashes. I have to turn voiceover off and back on in order
to hope to do anything.
Turn voiceover off in the main app, and you won't hear those sounds.
Otherwise, in the In The Kitchen With Davidapp, you won't have to do
that; you can watch live any time there, not just his show.
