Hi Kathy,
I'm using iOS 11 and the most recent version of the Kindle app. Double-tapping
the screen brings up the menu. Have you tried restarting your phone, and
removing the app from the app switcher and then running it again?

I am running IOS 11.0.2 and Kindle version 5.15.2 with VoiceOver on an iPhone
6+. Prior to updating to IOS 11, Double-tapping from within a Kindle book
