You might check the following setting under VoiceOver Braille and experiment
with the setting to see if it helps. Ignore Chord Duration 0.5s
The amount of time required before subsequent key presses will be recognized as
braille chords.

I too have this problem every now and then using a BraillePen Slim on my iPhone
SE. Randomly, whilst typing, the cursor ends up to the left of the final
letter TYPED instead of being after it. I think it is an iOS 14 bug

Thanks for the tip about the bounce command. I never have known what that
meant. It's in the braille setting. I notice when writing or editing in ASCII
braille, there's no problem at all. I reckon I can live with it.

Unfortunately, this is a known problem. Sometimes there is just a lag. There is
a setting that you can change for the bounce rate I believe it is. it chaanges
how long it takes for the command to hit the phone, but I can't remember where
it is. Sorry I'm not much help.
