I have had the exact same experience of my watch talking when I walk past it,
while it is charging. The cable is fine, and nightstand is off. I have noticed
this since the last watch Ios update.

If you go to settings and turn off nightstand mode, it won't do that. I had
this same issue when I got my watch and someone suggested turning nightstand
off.

OK for some reason my Apple Watch keeps unlocking and speaking the time
randomly when it’s charging. Sometimes it’s every minute, sometimes every few
minutes, it seems to have no rhyme nor reason as to when or why it does it.
Any ideas? It’s super irritating.
