If you’re connected to wifi, the watch will work just fine. However, info, the
watch uses bluetooth LE to connect to the phone. It seems to me that the
distance is longer than 30 feet, which is the standard for most bluetooth
devices, however.

I'm thinking about getting an AppleWatch.
I'm curious how far one can wander away from the phone while wearing the watch
and still have the watch work well. It would be nice to be able to charge the
phone but still walk around the house with some functionality.
