I am a sighted person who learned to read braille by touch. I tried this app, along with a blind friend of mine. In my humble opinion, it worked well to an extent. It has its own voice feature, so I would suggest turning voice over off and activating the in-app voice feature, if it isn't

I tried it, and it's very slow indeed, much slower than BrailleTouch. Worst of all when I turned VoiceOver off I had no idea where I was on the screen. I accidentally inserted an asterisk (*) when I tried it with VoiceOver off. The voice feedback told me this. But no, nowhere near as good as
