I have more contacts in the phone than I want. I have so far been unable to
remove them. Clicking
delete under the edit menu for each contact results in the following the
linked contact will not be
deleted I am still presented with a delete button. However, the contact is
not removed. What
folder of some kind for the Contacts you do
not want on your iPhone
- again, on your PC, go to your active Contacts folder and select each of
the entries you do not want on the iPhone
- using CONTROL+X, delete all those contacts you've just selected from
your active Contacts folder
- remember
I removed facebook from the phone but all the contacts snagged from facebook
remain. I have tried
to delete contacts but I have gotten a message that linked contacts would not
be deleted I hit the
delete button again but the contact remains. Why? How do I dump these
contacts and not have
contacts to delete from my phone. I find
the name I want to delete and go to the edit button. However, I just see all
the fields I can edit. I don't see a remove or delete contact buttonn. Am I
missing something, or is there something else I should be doing?

Hi, all.
No matter what I do, I can't get contacts to delete from my phone. I find the
name I want to delete and go to the edit button. However, I just see all the

Have you tried the four finger tap at the bottom of the screen? This,
sometimes followed by a flick right, usually lands me on the delete button.
