Ed,

I don't have any personal experience with the apple thermostat but if you
are referring to the Ness (maybe wrong spelling) thermostat, others have
posted that the IOS app is inaccessible.

Based on feedback I got from other users on the list, I recently purchased
the Filtrate 3m50 made by www.radiothermostat.com and am very happy with it
so far. The IOS app is fairly VO friendly. The free Windows app is as well
and there is also a web site where you can control and schedule the device
from anywhere you have internet access. The web site at least for me, is
the easiest with regard to scheduling. Scheduling is also possible on the
IOS app but I'm still trying to get that figured out. With the IOS app
however, it is quite easy to change the temperature, set hold, and away.
This particular model is available locally through Home Depot with a 90 day
return policy. The price from Home Depot is $99 and change.

If anyone reading this has been able to get a good handle on setting up
custom schedules via the IOS app, I'd be grateful for any pointers.
Although most buttons and controls speak, the layout on the scheduling
screens are confusing. I'm sure there's a logic to them which is probably
visually obvious but I've not been able to figure these out yet.

Best,

Rick

Subject: Apple Thermostat

Hi all,

I'm thinking about purchasing the Apple thermostat. Has anyone used this
device and, if so, what was your experience with the unit. Thanks a lot.

Take care,

Ed
