Fixing iCloud back up?

Hi. I am running the latest version of iOS, on an iPhone 5s. I'm trying to back up my phone, but when I double tap back up now, and plug in the phone, locket, and make sure it's connected to Wi-Fi, it only gets up to 4%. What can I do to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hope
