Google Docs: How accessible is it?

Hello Folks, Earlier this afternoon I read an article recommending to use Google Docs. My question is: How accessible is Google Docs with Voiceover? I'm hoping that if it is I will be able to use it to open Excel documents there. What are other people thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.
