Hi,
Every once in a while reported issues do get fixed. It might have taken 9
months but Apple has once again made it possible to go into your purchase
history of apps via ITunes on the PC and mac and hide those which you don’t
wish to see any more. Speaking for the PC side of things using ITunes 11.1 and
Jaws For Windows 15 beta the process was completely accessible and did work.
For the first few apps I hid I got a confirmation dialog asking me if I was
sure I wanted to hide but after a while it stopped asking me and just hid the
apps. As for what precipitated that change I couldn’t tell nor could the
person assisting me.
While I’m glad to report that this functionality has been restored I’ll miss my
monthly status updates with Landry formerly of the accessibility group who kept
in touch regarding this issue even after his transfer to a new department. His
attention to detail throughout this process was customer service done right and
I assure you I’ll convey that to Apple as well.
Happy hiding apps one and all.
Robin
