When viewing the information on the application, at the bottom it says that you
have X amount of storage left.

When you go to "Settings -> General -> Usage," the memory taken up by
each app is displayed. You should be able to check the amount of
memry the BARD app is using in this way. There's no way that so few
books could be occupying that much space. I don't know what is meant
by "Other,
I have 11 items and when I checked in the usage under settings, I am using 1.9
GB.
