Wow! That's the first time I've seen reference to that anywhere. Awesome! Now I
have to go try it on my iPad and see if it will solve the problem there. I have
a five line preview set. I wonder if this three finger single tap reads just a
preview or a wholemessage that's longer than my preview.

Do a single 3-finger tap on the email, and it will be read. This is one of the
new feature/changes in iOS 10.

Yes. I do use threading, and now, you have to deliberately expand the thread,
then you conflict through and get the messages read. But on single messages,
no, it's not red.

would flick from one message to the next, but it is no longer doing
that in IOS 10..
I am not using message threading.
