List,
Please ignore the message I just posted requesting assistance manually updating app versions to my computer using iTunes 12.4. I wasn't fully checking the screen for an update button with focus placed on the app containing the update. I just successfully updated my Dictionary app and I apologize for the false start. Alan Lemly Hello Mark and Others, Now that I've updated my Windows 7 computer to iTunes 12.4 and updated my iPhone 6 to iOS 9.3.2, I've gone back and reviewed the older posts discussing how to manually upgrade app versions to one's computer using iTunes now that this is no longer automatically done with iOS 9.x. I believe Mark Taylor posted the original message about this last October and I believe Anna Dresner has also commented on it. Here is my current issue which I haven't been able to resolve by following those posts. A number of app upgrades showed up in the Apps Store after I upgraded to iOS 9.3.2. I suspect these weren't previously available to me since I was running iOS 8.3. I upgraded a handful of these on my iPhone. One of these upgrades was to Dictionary Pro version 5.1 by Farlex so I now have version 5.1 of this app on my iPhone but have version 4.5 of it in my iTunes library on my computer. With my device disconnected from my computer, I go into apps within iTunes, select the Updates button at the top of the screen, and get a grid view of the apps in my library which I assume have available updates. This is where I run into a problem because I'm not seeing any way to manually update them on the computer. I get no option to do this when right clicking or calling up a context menu when on the Updates tab with the app selected. I also get no such option to update it when I place focus on the My Apps tab, view them as a list, and place focus on the ones I want to manually update. I know Mark's original post instructed us to start iTunes without a device connected, go into Apps, and manually update those for which you wanted to get versions transferred to your computer. I just can't figure out how to do this. I don't know if this has changed with the recent iTunes 12.4 upgrade but I sure would appreciate any help with how to do this. I did note that a new app I had downloaded to my iPhone did transfer into my iTunes library on my computer. Only the existing apps already there for which I grabbed newer versions on my iPhone didn't automatically transfer. Thanks in advance for any help.
