Well, if you have alerts going to your watch, by default, the watch will make the sound. You have to change that on the watch for the sounds to only come from the Phone. I do this myself, so I know it’s possible. Take Care John D. Panarese Director Mac for the Blind Tel, (631) 724-4479

As far as I can figure, I have tweaked all the settings in various ways, with the same result. Vibration alert on my watch, no sound on my phone. I'm beginning to think this is normal behavior. Is this the way it works for others? Since my Apple Watch is brand-new, can I call Apple support?

Hi Traci and John, What's always happened for me is that either I'm alerted by the watch or the phone of a notification. If I'm notified on the phone, the sound plays. If I'm notified on the watch, there's a vibration and, if sounds are on, there's a sound. I don't know of any way to get
