Hi. Thanks. Fortunately the issue isn't a problem for me as I live alone
and don't have to be concerned about sharing my phone calls or texts with
anybody else. The 5c is my backup phone and remains turned off 9

Yes, this Is normal behavior if you use the same Apple Id on two iOS devices,
but you can turn this off.
Many people like this feature especially if they have an iPhone and iPad
