Hello All, In the past there have been questions about how to OCR PDF documents, especially from many students who said that they received instructional material or official guidelines from their schools in this format. The work-around was to take screen captures of each page to the camera roll, which would save these in the jpeg image format that most OCR programs on the iPhone use, and then send selections from the camera roll to the OCR program. Well, you'll all be pleased to know that Prizmo 2 can OCR directly from scanned PDFs. I opened an email with such scanned PDF attachments on my iPhone, double tapped on the attachment, and used the "open in" dialog selection to choose Prizmo 2. Then I double tapped to open the last document that appeared in the main Prizmo screen, which was labeled "Text". I just went through and double tapped each of the individual pages in the document, and double tapped the "Recognize" button in the top right corner of the next screen in order for the OCR to be performed. I did first go to "Settings" by double tapping the "Settings" button in the top left corner of the main Prizmo page, and double tapped the "Text Recognition" button so that I could set the "Detect Text Orientation" switch button to "On", in case the scanned pages were sent upside down. This all worked very nicely.
