This same thing happened a few updates back: in the Photos app, if you want to trim the beginning and end off of a video, the done button is dimmed so that you can’t do anything with it even when I tried turning VoiceOver off, Plus, if you want to preview how your clip is if deciding you need to make further adjustments, it acts like as if you didn’t even select the points at which you want to start and end the video. I like to take these final clips that I arrive at and then combine in iMovie. I haven’t had occasion to do a project for a while, which is why I didn’t discover sooner, but thankfully I was able to do what I needed to on my old phone that had the latest version of iOS 12. Apple knows about the problem, but if this matters to anyone else, you might want to let them know please. Thanks.
