I have also been conscious of the buzzing, and it may be that it is the iPhone
ear pods that are causing this all showing it to us when of no others do. Any
more thoughts anyone?
I will try a different pair of headphones, but tomorrow will have to do as it's
well past my bedtime! :-)

I don’t listen to podcasts on my iPhone. I’m listening to recordings I’ve made
with Tunein Radio, and I’m not getting any buzzing. Is this the only thing
you’re having issues with, or do other items have this problem?

This definitely shouldn’t happen and I would first try a different headset to
make sure it is not because of a bad pair of Earpods. If the buzzing persists
you need to take the phone back and have it replaced.
