Most of what I am hearing on this thread sounds like lack of experience,
rather than a flaw in the Fleksy design. I have no problem finding and
inserting any punctuation or numbers from the lists on the top row. It did
take me awhile to get used to this, but now I am extremely fast, much

My own suggestion, for what it's worth, would be to set up some sort
of punctuation rotor comparable to the language rotor in the voiceover
settings. Through a system like that, users may be able to pick
with the current configuration see if I can
make it work for me better than it currently does.

I'm not a fleksy pro or anything, but wouldn't it work to hold your finger
on the letter until you hear it spoken before moving on. That way, it won't
try to correct.
Take care,

Hi Lois,
Thanks for the response. i have tried that, but with very unreliable
results. Indeed, I just tried Fleksy again and the screen kept going to black
and not responding. So long as I just do the Fleksy thing, I.E. type quickly
using normal words, things go OK, but as soon as I try
I could tell you it is all your fault, but that would make you sad. Smiles. So,
have you tried downloading Fleksy again or contacting Ionis on the list. You
can also write to support at Fleksy. They are very, vary willing to help! By

Hi Sandy.
Not sure what you mean by toggling the input method. As it is now, you
already have the Fleksy method of typing along with using the more
traditional method of tapping and holding on a character. Tapping and
holding of course is a lot slower but you do get exactly what you want or at

If you had the punctuation all in one list, and you have to swipe down
to get to a symbol like the dash, wouldn't it make that one list a lot
longer? It seems simpler to me to look on the row above the letters
for certain punctuation, but I also don't use Fleksy to write these

Faster for me to swipe through that 1 list rather than having to find
something, hold on it, swipe in that column etc.
