Hi Anthony,
Do owy know what causes the temor in your left hand? This could
make it very difficult for you to take your sugar with a regular
meter. It is hard enough to get the blood on the strip. I pray
that God will intervene, especially on your behalf, as well as
mine. I am tired of
The company would not even consider billing my insurance because
I am not iniulin dependent. It was both together. Perhaps the
company knew that my insurance would not pick up the cost because
of nondependency on insulin. They were most likely familiar with
how insurance works. That is my
That’s correct.
They said I am not insolent dependent.

Do you mean that your insurance wouldn’t pay for it? That I believe. But I was
able to get the libre, so long as I was willing to pay for it. It’s not cheap.
But it is cheaper than the DX calm, although that has more features.

Hi Jan;
I was also refused.
I could really use it too because I have a bad tremor in my left hand. Maybe we
should bring it to somebody’s attention and see what happens. God bless Anthony

I was refused the Freestyle Libre. My doctor gave me a
prescription, but the company said no, because I am not insulin
dependent. I have low sugar.

Jen, six times a day sounds like a nightmare. I’m supposed to do it three times
a day, and that’s bad enough!

I am supposed to test 6 times a day, but I do not do it. I tried
to get the patch that you wear that has a little needle that
slips into your skin. But I am not allowed to have that, because
I am not on insulin.

Hi, I know I do you know when I contacted Medicare, they did tell me that you
had to test more than once a day, and I only test once a day, and I am also not
on insulin.
Take here.

Hi Ed,
I was refused a DexCom, because I am not on insulin. I have low
sugar. They stated just you have to be insulin dependent to have
the unit. I could really benefit from it. My doctor had given
me a prescription for it. I may try again.

The Glucose monitor your looking for is the DexCom G5 or G6 system. The G6
connects to your iPhone via bluetooth and sends blood sugar readings to a
dedicated application on your iPhone every 5 minutes. This app will also send

The other CGM meter is the Dexcom 6. I did know a totally blind man who had
the Dexcom 5 and it was accessible with the iPhone.

Actually, The Prodigy meter is an independent deal, it has nothing to do with
the iPhone or voiceover. There are two systems which work with voiceover
through an app. Both of them are continuous monitoring systems. Are you looking
for a continuous monitoring system that is a CGM? Or are you
Hi,
I didn’t read all my messages, so I don’t know if this question was answered,
but if it was you get a repeat performance.
It was The Prodigy talking meter and I believe it’s the second.
