The method Fred mentioned isn't an app, rather it's a Voice Over
feature. You basically give the photo file name a label which is only
voice out by Voice Over. If you transfer the photo, it will still have
the original file name.

You can label them after taking them just in the photo app, the only thing
is the list view still only shows the img number. You have to open it to
see the label.
