I am totally blind as well and I have no problems doing what I said in my
previous message using GarageBand on the iPhone. I have done it as recently as
last week and experienced no difficulties at all.

The only way I know of to accomplish what you want is to import the M4R file
into GarageBand on your iPhone. Then you can share it as a ringtone and it
