the problem with Airplay is that the user needs a WiFi connection.
sonos does not have a Bluetooth option after this change. this means it is not
much different from a Home Pod.

Well, I guess it all depends on your sources and how you listen. As the article
mentions, there are plenty of options to play music that is locally stored on
your iPhone whereas I would consider Airplay the most obvious and easies. I
think most people by now have either a Sonos One or a Play 5
