BJ and Carolyn:
Of course, this is a Voice Over function, not a Siri function.

B.J. and Carolyn:
Thank you. I found it. Just go to Voice over and swipe right til you
hear the phrase 'always speak notifications'. If it is off, double tap to
turn it on.
Mine was off, so I have turned it on.

Carolyn:
When you hear the alert that there is a notification, just swipe right until
you hear voice over tell you what it is.
Also, you can ask Siri if you have any reminders and she will give you a list
of what you have
I had not used Reminders for a long time until a few days ago and I too was
puzzled that VoiceOver did not speak the Reminder, just gave an alert. I too
recall that VoiceOver used to announce Reminders - but this has obviously
changed, sadly.

Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

Hi Carolyn:
As far as I know, you will get the tone alert that there is a reminder and it
will show up on the notification screen. There Voice over will read it to you,
but Siri will not announce it.
I have an iPhone 7.

Used to, way back with my 4S, Siri just announced reminders, when they came up.
Now, I get the signal, but have to go into Reminders to see what it is. Can I
change it back?
Best regards,
Carolyn
