In iOS 7 you dcan only delete single songs by swiping down on the song and
then double tapping when you hear Delete. This is the action rotor in
action so to speak, it works just like deleting emails. Unfortunately you
can't do this for entire albums or artists. It's possible again to

The weired thing with my iPhone 5s is that for most music on it, the rotor
action delete doesn’st even work at all.
And for some other music it works fine like you explain it here.

Are you sure the music you try to delete using the flick down is actually on
your device? I assume it might be music in your iCloud account which is music
you purchased but which is not downloaded to your device. I suggest you try and
go to Settings, iTunes and App Store and hide
