That was confusing to me, too, until I had someone eyeball it for me. It's
Vert. Navigation, shortened form of Vertical Navigation. I think it was
pronounced as Vertical Navigation until iOS 7.

I actually don’t like this. Why start shortening words now. haha. The extra
2 syllables saved isn’t going to save much time, but does add an element of
confusion that wasn’t there before.
