Try moving down or up a line first; then turn to text selection, flic up or
ddown to lines and start flicking right.
Sometimes the spot you start has code that won't allow copying for some
mysterious reason.

There is a way to do it, but it is hard for me at least. You use your roter to
select lines or words. Now double tap and hold on the beginning of where you
want to select. Then start the pinch gesture.

Yes, it requires using the pinch gesture whilst the rotor is set on characters,
