Well, I will admit that it came in handy back in August when I sent my cousin a
Starbucks gift card for her birthday LOL. But...for the most part, I keep them
hidden and out of my way.

Hi Jed,
The send button is still above the p on the screen, but you are running into
the issue that was added with iOS 11, the list of messaging apps. If you flick
with one finger to the left from your message text, you should have a button
that says something like "messaging apps, visible"
That's called the app drawer. Totally useless for me so I turn it off.
Unfortunately I can't remember how I did it, but I'm sure someone will
pop up with instructions.
