Okay, sorry about that; I forgot there were notes to pick up first. What I did
was move forward until I began to pass the first note, then turned left about
45° and crept up until it warned me to be careful. Then I ran until the hog
passed by behind me, and spun around to face the next note head

Hi, that's the one with the baby and the phone right? As I recall, you can
actually move around the room such that both objectives are in line with one
another. Then it's just a matter of not falling down as you scoop up the baby
and dash to the phone. It may help to disable VoiceOver if you hav
