Yes, you take a picture, but it is surprisingly quick compared to some apps.
For things like digital displays, I have a thermostat that is about 3 inches by
4 inches and I held the camera about 5 or 6 inches from it and it worked very
well.
The clocks I have tried it on I was a bit further away
I think it takes a picture and then you have to wait a little bit for the
results.

morning, and will give it a spin. Does envision AI analyze in
realtime? or, are you required to take a picture as you would with say
say, tap tap see?

If Seeing AI doesn't do it, try the new Envision AI.
It has a button to read text and it reads my Honeywell thermostat very nicely
which is probably a similar digital display. The app is free.

has anyone managed to successfully read the display on an exercise
machine using this app or others like it? from what I understand, the
information pertaining to each workout is often displayed on the
screen for a hsort while after the workout has ended, but I believe
the time is
