Hello,
In order to add a hard carriage return, you have 2 options. You can use dot 8
(the enter key) with the spacebar or perform the bypass command using dots
4-5-6-8, followed by the E chord (1-5 with spacebar). HTH.

space with the letter e will do anything but bring you back to the main menu of

Hi Carol
I tried to post an answer to your question but it appears not to have arrived.
To achieve a carriage return or enter on the apex you press the two righthand
thumb keys together.

If you are in grade 2 mode, the full stop character is a low d, dots 2 5 6. If
you are in computer braille (grade 1 braille with 8 dot mode turned on, a full
stop is dots 4 6.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for this tip. I have always done the bypass keystroke of dots 4-5-6-8
before doing an e chord to force a carriage return.

Hi Carol.
pressing space with dot 8, or as it's sometimes called the enter key,
will give you a carriage return.

Hi all,
I haven't used a Braille display for a while now and decided, having just
upgraded the apex, I would give it another go.
However, I can't remember how to produce a full stop (Period) character. I
thought it was lower E , but this does not work. I can't find it in the help!
