Can kindle books be read with the Voice Dream reader? if so, what is the
procedure please? does one open the Kindle app. first and then the Voice Dream
reader or the other way around?

I do not think that this is possible.DRM protected e books will only work
with their native app.

This will be a procedure that requires a mac or a pc, and some tools. You can
