Well, If I were you, I'd just do the list in notes or another note taking app,
because the excel app is pretty awful with VoiceOver.
Then manually enter the info when you are back on your computer.

I started an Excel spreadsheet on my PC and want to continue working
on it in my kitchen with my iPhone--it's an attempt at pantry
organization. Where in iCloud do I need to put the file in order to
have it sync with the iPhone so it can be used with the Excel app?
