Soon, hopefully, I'll be trading my iPhone 5 in for a 6S Plus. Before I do, I
want to remove the 5 from my account. In looking into that, I've discovered
something weird: the name is "Alex's iPhone 5", but the device type is 5S, not
5. This is obviously wrong, but will it cause problems
My iPhone 5S has always showed up as an iPhone 5 in my support profile, which
of course is also incorrect. It doesn’t seem to make any practical difference,
but is definitely odd. I don’t think I'd worry too much about it. I suspect the
device removal process will go smoothly for you.

I would call Apple about that. It's a weird one. It sounds like something
they'd have to fix on their end.
