it uses the same cable as other iphones. I have an iPhone 8 and yesterday
upgraded to the SE 3rd gen. and it uses the same charging cable.

All of the SE phones have Lightning ports, so you're correct in saying
that the cable required is USB to Lightning. What's on the non
Lightning end will depend on the charger they're plugging it into.
