Remove all apps from the app switcher, turn off your phone for about 30 seconds
and turn it back on. I won’t guaranty
there is an easy solution. I would simply erase those specific apps and then
reinstall from the app store purchases page. check the button for "not on this
iPhone/device" and it should highlight those items. install as normal and you
should be good to go.

My next step would be to do a Reset Network Settings in Settings > General >
Reset to see if that fixes it, otherwise I’d probably just leave it alone for a
while since it will probably resolve itself.

It says there are 6 new updates available in the app store.
When i go in to get them, it says update all dimmed.
and the updates it is showing me, are apps that i have updated recently, in the
last week or so, eg facebook and messenger.
