Anthony asked recently how one would share a facebook status by copying the
text and then being able to paste it to his own status. I know there is the
share button, but not all statuses have that option, and I believe, and I
know in my case, he was referring to ones that don't that one might want to
share. someone, and I forget who, replied to him and said they were able to
do this with the pinch gesture. now I have not mastered nor tried to master
that gesture yet because I have a BT keyboard and have always figured the
easiest thing to do is to do the selecting, copying, pasting with that
instead of trying to do it on the phone. so I tried to select text in a
facebook status yesterday using my keyboard, and it did not work. I can
select text all day long when I'm in an edit field, but not just text on the
screen, even if I turn quicknav off. so I would like more information on
how this person is selecting this text. another possibility is this: Does
the pinch gesture ever work when using the keyboard doesn't? I would not
think so, but I guess it's possible. I have never, ever been able to select
text on the screen on IOS, whether it be in Safari, facebook or whatever
other app, except while in an edit field. Oh that is the other question: is
this person doing this in the FB app itself or some other app? Because even
in safari, though I haven't tried lately, I have never been able to do this.
I have talked to MAC users who say that it is possible to do it on the MAC
OS with Voiceover, so if that is the case, it would really be nice to be
able to do this in IOS, but last I heard, this was not possible. of course,
I do this in Windows all day long as well. any other thoughts/help would be
appreciated.
