Re: Fleksy Keyboard Makes Its Way To iOS Through Third-Party Apps
Right. You do one of the angle gestures, you find the suspend talkback thing, you do that then hopefully you're back in Fleksy. You use Fleksy. And I suppose you turn the screen often on to get talkback back. And you go on about your business. If people want to do that, that's great. All I'm saying is, when saying that something can be done on a different system it's good to know all the steps so people won't make apples and oranges comparisons. The app has been available on Android and recently left its beta phase, but its developers have not stopped there and have released an SDK for iOS developers. Hi, Yes, the Kindle app is accessible. You can't buy books from within the app, but you can download samples and then have a link emailed to you that takes you to the page where you can buy the book. Or you can search for and buy the book using Safari to go to amazon.com. Re: Simple calculator for iPad
Hello Ed, I'm really puzzled about why you are not hearing the buttons. I wish someone else who has an iPad would try this out and report back. I tried deleting the app from the iPad 4 running 7.0.4 and re-downloading it, and the buttons are still announced by VoiceOver. The only thing that is different about the situation is that the initial download of the app was done under iOS 6, and then the iPad was upgraded to iOS 7 by software download, and the app was updated to the latest version. At this point the only thing I can try is deleting the app and downloading it again, but all the buttons are announced when I do this (except on the paper tape where the sections for ads are announced as button and then if you flick right you'll hear the test descriptions of the contents -- double tapping on the text gives the same result as double tapping on the initial unlabeled button announcment). I don't suppose you know anyone else with an iPad who could try to install this app? Even if they removed the labels from the buttons on the other keys in the most recent update, I don't understand how these could be present in the versions I have. After all, I didn't label all those other buttons! Is you iPad nearly full? Maybe if there is limited storage space or a faulty section of the memory, part of the program code is overwritten?.Have you tried deleting and redownloading the app? Honestly, I don't have any more ideas. This app should just work. I only relabeled three buttons to have more convenient lables -- not because these were unlabeled when I started. If an app gave me this much trouble, I would probably just move on and try a different app. Sorry not to have better suggestions. I may ask on another list if someone will try downloading and checking this app. Best, Esther On Friday, December 20, 2013 6:28:05 PM UTC-10, Pinky wrote: Hello Esther, I have an iPad 4 running 7.0.4. They do magazines too but I've never bought any magazines or newspapers. What I do also, is I use the regular Amazon.com application, then I find books that I like using the search function, then I bookmarked them to a wish list that I can go to later.
