Hi Folks,
Can anyone recommend a good recording app that will work for memos while
on a telephone call? This is not for recording any calls, but to simply take a
quick voice memo even while on a call.

I wonder about using Radium with serious XM for football. Also what about June
in? I used to use that all football radio, but so many stations didn't work or
only works sporadically.

Hi John,
As far as I know such an app does not exist and while it may not be impossible
to do, I am not sure if Apple gives developers this much control over the
hardware. Basically the app would have to take over the microphone which of
course is used by the Phone app while you are on a call
It will work like you would expect it to however, don't expect it to be free.
That isn't going to happen. For the most part, free is fast dissappearing
where the airlines are concerned.

I am surprised as I read this thread that thus far no one has mentioned

I wouldn't have assumed it would be free, but I'm flying cross country so I

I am wondering, if my husband and I both wanted to use it, would we have to

Also, I understand it blocks certain high-bandwidth sites , such as VOIP

Sarah,
If there is such an app, I'm sure it will have to use data and will probably
also be a bit of a battery drain. I'd recommend you get the driver of the
vehicle to use its trip odometer if one is available.

I did read the page, and in particular, the audio section where it said:
Listen live to every NFL game - including the Playoffs and Super
Bowl 50
Also, the old AudioPass subscription required an additional upgrade to
get the playoff games.

I’m not sure if the audio portion is coming to the apple TV or not, it might be
just the on-demand video.

Is there an accessible app that will track the miles driven in a vehicle?
(Does either BlindSquare or Navigon do this?)
Also wondering if there is one that does not use data?
Thanks,

is a ripoff just for the audio feeds.

Listening to football on the TV is a waste of time. You hear the croud cheer
and the announcer says would you look at that! He's up to the 27 yard line.
That was one heck of a run. You don't hear thing one about how the team lines
up etc. For me, watching NFL football on TV is useless.
It is true that I don't get nearly the detail from the tv audio that I would
from the radio broadcast, but most of the time, if that is all I have, I
can follow football and baseball, well enough to make it worth my time, .
Basketball from tv audio? Now, that is useless to me.

Thanks for this. I remember, a few years ago, when NFL Audio Pass had some
accessibility issues, I considered getting Sirius or XM for football.
Luckily, things got straightened out that year. I didn't know Sirius
carried the nfl in their online subscription.

I would think that the Game Pass would cost at least as much as the
streaming online package for Sunday Ticket that DirecTV would offer if you
are unable to have a dish at your place. I don't know why the NFL would
undercut their partner and give more. The audio is something you wouldn't

Yes Radium works for football on SiriusXm as long as you have the proper
SiriusXm package with on-line streaming.
The SiriusXm app also works pretty well now and you can save your favorite NFL
channels.

It seems that they have adopted the NBA model where you have to buy the
whole package even if you just want the audio.

I know what you mean. I get those offers on occasion regarding the old XM I
canceled near the time they merged. I liked specific personalities that were
on XM, but they had quite awhile before the merger. One of them was on the
80's channel they had back then.

At least the NBA plan has an a la carte option where you can choose 1 to 5
teams to follow for a lower rate.

It also does not mention iOS devices though it says it is coming soon to Apple
