Re: Re﹕ Whatsapp group

2019-01-09 Thread lynn white

Ah Ming.  I have not heard from or about you in years.

I still talk about how you had requested to hear mistletoe and Wine by
Cliff Richards.  I had never heard the song before.  But when I did, I
love that song and each time I hear it during Christmas, I think about
you.  Hope all is well, my friend.

RE: TP Link wireless plug and alexa app?

2019-01-09 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Have you enabled the appropriate skill in the Alexa app? This should then take
you to whatever website TPLink uses and you would have to sign in there with
your TP Link or Casa user name and password.

Jen, I managed to get my TP and Alexa done after about 3 times trying. did
you download the TP link app? that has to be done.
make sure Alexa is up and working. be patient. mine was done a long time ago

if you have some sighted help available I would recommend you get them to do
it for you.

Re: Can sounds for incoming emails be toggled off for one account but kept on for another?

2019-01-09 Thread Maria Reyes
Go to settings then notification center then mail then select the account you
want no sound then you double tap on sound and whatever the sound is and you
should see all of the ringtone and alert tones that you can choose from and
there's also a none option. so if you don't want any sound you select that
option.

Hi there,

I don’t think there is a way to do this with the Apple mail app, however, you
can do it with Outlook for sure.

Re: Help from Amazon Fwd: Your Amazon.com Inquiry

2019-01-09 Thread regina alvarado

I am hoping Amazon is on the problem with the app. I just spent about an hour
on the phone with 3 different people. The last person sent a form up hopefully
to app developer with the problem. In the meantime the workaround is to turn
voice over off when focused on the use this address button and touch the
screen. It then goes through so it is Amazon's app working with VO that is the
problem. It would be interesting to know if same is true for Droid users, at
least to me. LOL. Anyway that is our workaround for now. Hope that helps anyone
who wants to use the amazon app.

Can sounds for incoming emails be toggled off for one account but kept on for another?

2019-01-09 Thread 'Kramlinger, Keith G., M.D.' via VIPhone
Hi,

I have 2 email accounts on my iPhone.

For one, I like receiving the sound for a new mail message, but for another I
prefer just checking back several times daily to check on the traffic.

Is it possible to keep sound on for incoming mail messages on the one account,
but turn of sounds for incoming messages on the other?

If so, how?

Thanks in advance. Keith

RE: Is this app voiceover friendly?

2019-01-09 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
And I would suggest you get an iPhone 8 or 8 Plus depending on what size phone
you like, you'll pay a lot less than for any of the X models and while the
iPhone 8 still has the virtual home button and Touch Id, it's a great phone. I
am actually glad my wife and I came across this awesome upgrade offer from our
provider here in Canada, we had the 6S and 6S Plus before, because this way we
are set for the next 3 to 4 years and by then Apple probably has figured out
where they are going with Face Id and if Touch Id anywhere on the screen is
making a come-back as it seems to be doing with some Android phones, it's
probably perfected by then. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Apple were the
ones to really get it right since certainly with Touch Id and Face Id they were
the company which did first get it right.

Best regards,
Sieghard

However, if using the iPhone running IOS version I believe 7 or above, you
don’t need the reader. Everything can be done directly from the app. This
includes activating the sensor. I did not even purchase the reader. At the
moment, I am paying for it myself. I am appealing to my health insurance
provider hoping that they will reconsider my prior authorization request. I
will stop now, but let me just say that it has been a real game changer for me
when it comes to me getting control of my glucose, A1C. I don’t want to clutter
up the list, so feel free to contact me off list if you have other questions.

Re: Is this app voiceover friendly?

2019-01-09 Thread Larry Smith
Hi Richard. It is very easy to scan the sensor. Each person will most likely
find their comfort method when scanning. I find it very simple to either bend
my elbow and lift my arm somewhat. The top of the phone is placed near the
sensor. I can usually get a scan with the front of the phone placed within 2
inches or so of the sensor. The distance can vary depending on what you are
wearing. For example, if you are wearing a coat, sweater, sweat shirt, you will
need to place your phone closer to the sensor. If the sensor is exposed or you
are wearing thin clothing, the phone can be farther from the sensor. The phone
will vibrate and give a suttle tone when the scan is successful. Most instances
it only takes a couple of seconds. You can also turn on text-to-speech and the
results will be spoken. If you miss the spoken results, you can then just swipe
to read the results. It is very easy to apply the sensor to the back upper part
of the arm. Applying the sensor is easier than removing it. Not saying that it
is difficult to remove.

Re: Is this app voiceover friendly?

2019-01-09 Thread Larry Smith
Hi Mary. I have been using the freestyle libre system for about six weeks now.
I can tell you that the app is very accessible. The reader is not accessible.
