RE: Apple Pay Help Please.

Sieghard,
I do have a six digit authentication passcode. I do get the option to enter
my passcode, but I am standing in line with many people directly in front and
in back of me, and I don't want everyone to hear my security passcode. I use
Voiceover, and if I need to hear that, I'm sure others can hear it as well
especially when they are right by me.

Do you even have a passcode set up because if you don't then you can't use

Hi Ed,
Oh this is just too frustrating! I did restart my xr phone, I did remove all my
cards from the phone, and I reinstalled one card just to see if this will work.
I will try to use the Apple Pay when I go to the store tomorrow. When I am in
the Apple Pay screen, I only see just my credit card, but not my debit card.
Apple says we should be able to add as many cards as we want, but I just don't
find this to be the case though. I would think if we can add as many cards,
we should be able to use either card we want to. I also had Apple Cash set up,
but now, it is showing as if it has never been set up, so as of now, I can't
use that either. I also can't use face id with this Apple Pay, so I really
don't know what the problem is, or what I might be doing wrong. I will
probably have to call Apple.
I'm sorry you're having this problem as well, but I'm happy to see I'm not the
only one with this problem. Smile!

Hey Janet,

I kind of see what you’re talking about with ApplePay not allowing you to
select a specific card. If you simply don’t want to use the default card it
will not let you.

I however am seeing it will allow me to utilize all but one card for payment.
I have the Apple Card set up as my default payment card. A Wells Fargo Credit
Card, Wells Fargo Debit Card, and Apple Cash showing up as options. It will not
let me select the Wells Fargo Credit Card as my Payment option. It will however
let me select all of the others.

I’m puzzled with this one. I would suggest restarting your phone by pressing
the volume up and then the volume down buttons in rapid fire action and then
holding the power button for about 10-12 seconds. This will clear the system
cash and it might fix some of the little gremlins that have appeared.

I hope this helps and let us know if you have found a solution.

Hello Kevin,

I apologize for the delay in my reply to your very gracious post.

I think it is wonderful that you have a Facebook group dedicated to Audio
Description topics.

I am not a huge Facebook fan but the next time I'm online I will check out your
group.

Do you have a Twitter Feed? I find Twitter to be much more, quote, digestible,
quote, than Facebook but that, of course, is just my opinion.

Again, thank you for your very kind and thoughtful post.

Well, actually I am the creator, and moderator of a Facebook group called audio
description discussion. This is a group that I created along with a friend of
mine, Who is an actual narrator, about six months ago. We have over 100 members
now, and all we discuss is anything, and everything as it relates to audio
description. I don’t know if you are on Facebook, but if you are, you are more
than welcome to join the group. If you send me your information, I can add you
to the group. Or you can search for audio description discussion on Facebook.
The audio description project which is another Facebook group, usually has an
updated list of what shows are available with description. We haven’t really
made any kind of official announcements on the group about CBS ALL ACCESS
having shows with audio description, because CBS ALL ACCESS hasn’t made an
official announcement that they have audio description for certain shows. And
until they do, I thought it best to not post it to my group just yet. I wish
you much luck, and success with signing up for CBS all access through the
Apple TV app. And please let me know if you have any interest in the Facebook
discussion group. Thank you very much for your response.

Steve,

I am using the regular Twitter app on my iPhone 10. I have 2 different accounts
set up with Twitter. When I tweet or retweet. How do I select the account to
tweet from?
I don't know how to answer your question properly but I hope what's
below can be of some help for you.
If you've managed to find where you go to switch from one account to
another, then you just have to choose the account you want to tweet from
and it will stick until you change it again.
Usually it's inside a menu. It's something like "more options", but I
can't remember it right now. It's been a while since I've used the
Twitter app and it was on Android.

Hopefully you'll get more educated answers.

Cheers,

How to Protect and Clean your Apple Card, Apple Support

2019-08-23 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Everyone,

I can hardly catch my breath as I have just been reading the seemingly
endless jokes about the Apple Card and its unique cleaning instructions, on
Twitter, on the Apple Insider feed.

Man! I've never come across such a wonderful treasure trove of jokes in my
life.

I wonder if Apple is laughing, also. Probably not but, then again, they are
the ones who released the cards so, let the jokes fall where they may.

All of the jokes are based on the article, posted below:

Enjoy,

Mark

How to clean your Apple Card
See how to protect and maintain the condition of your titanium Apple Card.

About the titanium Apple Card
The titanium Apple Card is laser-etched with the card holder's name and the
Apple logo. A white finish is achieved through a multi-layer coating process
that's added to the titanium base material.
If your titanium Apple Card comes into contact with hard surfaces or
materials, it's possible that the coating can be damaged.

How to clean your titanium Apple Card
If your titanium Apple Card comes into contact with contaminants that can
cause stains, follow these steps to clean your card:
1. Gently wipe with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free microfiber cloth.
2. Moisten a soft, microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol and gently
wipe the card.
Don't use window or household cleaners, compressed air, aerosol sprays,
solvents, ammonia, or abrasives to clean your titanium Apple Card.
Some fabrics, like leather and denim, might cause permanent discoloration
that will not wash off.

How to safely store and carry your titanium Apple Card
. Store your titanium Apple Card in a wallet, pocket, or bag made of
soft materials.
. Place your card in a slot in your wallet or billfold without
touching another credit card. If two credit cards are placed in the same
slot your card could become scratched.
. Don't place or store your titanium Apple Card card near magnets. If
your card is placed close to a magnetic latch on a purse or bag, the
magnetic strip can become demagnetized.
. Don't place your titanium Apple Card in a pocket or bag that
contains loose change, keys, or other potentially abrasive objects.

Re: uber eats working again!

2019-08-23 Thread Steve Matzura
I'm becoming lless and less enthused with Uber Eats. When I started with
them, their restaurant menus were so accessible, I thought gee, this
can't last. And it hasn't. Now, when some restaurants have menus with
the same item that has multiple listings for that item (I'll give an
example in a moment), you don't get to learn what those multiple
listings are until you tap and get into that menu choice. For example,
Macdonald's offers a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, but you don't get to
choose whether you want the single item or the Extra Value Meal until
you tap on it and it opens to reveal the options. Then, if you choose
the Extra Value Meal option, you have to choose it twice before it opens
and then and only then will its options appear. It used to be that there
were two side options--French fries or salad. Now it's only the fries.
Was the salad option discontinued, or is it no longer accesssible? I
don't know. The drink option works as expected.

Also, it just so happened that I got lunch for me and my wife from there
today and discovered a new problem. I thought we'd split a twenty-piece
Chicken MacNuggets Extra Value Meal, and save the leftovers for another
time. When it came time to select the sauce, of which you must select
three, it used to be that the list of available sauces appeared three
times, and you would tap on your selected sauce in each list. I don't
know what it is now, because I couldn't select sauces at all. Luckily we
had some lying around the kitchen that hadn't been used, so I just
selected the "no sauce" option and was able to add it to the cart and
complete the order.

And their search engine is highly broken. Today I searched for Chick
FillA, which just came to my area of town, to see if they were on U.E.
Instead of giving me the response of "no items found," I got eighty
listings for restaurants that had literally nothing to do with chicken
or Chick FillA itself. But when I typed "Taco Bell" into the search
engine--and by  the way, I'm neither a Chick FillA nor a Taco Bell
eater, but since one opened just down the street from us, I thought I'd
see if U.E. had it, I got the correct "no matches" message. So what
gives,Uber Eats?

not sure what that would mean... I suppose there's no reason why they
couldn't follow apple's lead and have the chase app generate a number on
demand, have a physical card which doesn't advertise it's actual number,

For those who use Apple Pay with Face Id, how do you know Face Id is working?
Does the phone make a sound? Does Voiceover say something? Does it ask for Face
Id? I would be greatful if someone could answer this.
Thank you all.

RE: Apple Pay Help Please.

2019-08-23 Thread janet gross
Hi Mark,
Yes I will contact my bank, although, I'm sure this is not on there end, but on
Apple's end, but it is worth calling the bank anyway.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Janet,

This is Mark.

May I suggest that you contact the issueing bank of the card, in question?

It may be that there has been a change to the terms of service or something
else that is affecting your Apple Pay experience.

Currently, I only have 1 card on file with Apple Pay and, as in all cases, that
card is authorized to work with Apple Pay.

If someone else has already made this suggestion, then I apologize for the
redundancy.

So often I find it much simpler to pick up the phone and call the companies in
question, in order to resolve problems, than to engage in what can sometimes
seem like endless online research.

Good Luck,

Mark

Hi All,
Well, Sieghard, I have to admit this message of you saying you tap the default
card, and then tap your Visa card in order to use the Visa card, has really
confused me. Am I understanding this correctly, as I've never heard of this
before. So if you could please elaborate just a little more, I would greatly
appreciate it. I never used Apple Pay that way, so I guess there is more to
learn about Apple Pay. When I would use Apple Pay, I would simply tap on the
card I wanted to use for purchasing, but this quickly all came to a stop some
days ago, and for no reason that I am aware of.

I have a Visa and a Mastercard set up for Apple Pay and have no problems
selecting the Visa which Is not my default card.
When I hold my phone near the terminal the Apple Pay screen pops up with my
Mastercard on top, I just double tap on it, then I double tap on my Visa which
also shows on the screen and that's it. Maybe I cold simply double tap on the
Visa right away, I'll try it today, but I for some reason have always done it
where I tap the default card first before I tap the other card and it works for
sure this way.

RE: Apple Cash card?

2019-08-23 Thread janet gross
HI Keith,
Did you hear Chase Bank is going to be coming out with a Chase Pay Card, and
from what I could understand was it will be like Apple Pay. I heard it just a
couple of days ago, on the radio, but I didn’t get to hear it all though. So
if Chase Bank comes out with a Chase Pay, I think that would be great!

Hi Ed,
Oh this is just too frustrating!
Smile!

RE: Apple Pay Help Please.

2019-08-23 Thread M. Taylor

HI All,
I thought I read some where that Zelle does not insure transferring money,
meaning if the money transfer doesn’t make it to where you want to transfer the

Zelle works well, however if you have multiple checking accounts, you can only
have one tied to Zelle. Where as with Apple Cash, you can transfer that to any
of your accounts .. I use both of them and they each have pros and cons …

Many banks participate in a program known as "zelle" which does direct payments
without any transaction charges. Not as slick as applepay, but typically well
integrated into your banking app. Chase, for example, has it tightly integrated
within their app, and it works well. The recipient doesn't have to be a chase
customer ... just a customer of a participating bank. For folks I'm only going
to pay once, ApplePay is fine (if they've already got an account). Typically,
if it's someone I've got an ongoing relationship with, I try to coax them to
sign up with zelle.

Hi okay I have to remove my credit card on my iPhone to add A new card.

I go to add payment method and then put in the new card number and all
of the rest of the stuff it asks for.

Then I hear to cintue put in your apple ID but there is know edit box to
do that.

So I hit on add new payment method and then enter in the new card number
and the date it expires and the code on the back and hit done.

Then it says to enter my apple to continue but there is know edit box
for that.

So once i have my new card numbers in how then do i change to the new
card and remove the old one.

Re: anyone try a game call Texas Holdem Poker from apple

2019-08-23 Thread Ken Brown
Yes, I’ve been playing it for a while. You need to start in the garage, then
you swipe down past all of where they say first place second place third place
you see were it says play double tap there then it will give you I think 1000
chips to start off with when you’re on your way.
It’s kind of quick so you got to give voiceover time to read what’s going on
when you want to bet tap the amount of your winnings and then swipe up to pot
double tap that and then you can swipe up or down to change the amount or bet
the amount that shown there in the pot. It takes some practice but I think
you’ll get the hang of it.

Re: removing people from messenger?

2019-08-23 Thread Isaac Hebert
Yes. First open messenger. Next swipe left until you find settings
and then double tap. Next swipe until you find people and then double
tap. Next swipe left or right until you find blocked and then double
tap. Next find the add someone button and then double tap. Next find
the person that you want to block by searching for them using the
search box. Finally after you have selected the person that you want
to block, choose block on messenger and then choose block on the
confirmation screen to confirm the block.

changing my payment method

2019-08-23 Thread Casey

Hi okay I have to remove my credit card on my iPhone to add A new card.

I go to add payment method and then put in the new card number and all
of the rest of the stuff it asks for.

Then I hear to cintue put in your apple ID but there is know edit box to
do that.

So I hit on add new payment method and then enter in the new card number
and the date it expires and the code on the back and hit done.

Then it says to enter my apple to continue but there is know edit box
for that.

So once i have my new card numbers in how then do i change to the new
card and remove the old one.
