I also saw this new update.  I'm still on 12.41.  However, it was very
interesting listening to all the new changes in 13 that have come out.
Most of which don't interest me at all.  Although, I did hear of a new
Siri voice that is introduced in 13.

I downloaded this update and now I lost Alex and can only get Samantha. I tried 
switching to Alex and it says Alex is selected however the voice being used is 
still Samantha. Also when I type letters I keep hearing something like char

I just checked under Settings, General, Software update and my iPhone is
showing me that iOS 13.5.1 is available for download. And I'm not a beta

Yes, Blind Square incorporates What Three Words, which you can toggle on or off.
It replaces the coordinates with three words like banana.milk.oil separated by 
periods.
For anyone who wants to check it out but does not own Blind Square, the Blind 
Square Events app is fully functional in 9 countries I think and is free 
through November due to the Coronavirus.
Just search the app store for blind square events.
And, no, the stand alone app for What Three Words is not very useful by itself.

question regarding phone holders

Hello everyone,


I wasn't quite sure how to make the subject line. So it might be a bit 
mis-leading. If so, I do apologize.



I have an iPhone XR. I love it.

However, it's a bit wide for my hand. So after about 20, to 30 minutes 
of holding the phone in my hand, my hand starts to cramp. Or a few of my 
fingers will fall asleep. It's rather anoying.


I have an ear piece. I do use it, when I remember to charge it. LOL!


But what I was wondering is, do they make something I could put on my 
phone, to possibly make it more comfortable to hold?


I don't know if anything like this exists. But I just thought I would 
reach out and see what people think. I don't have a thick case on my 
phone. I can't think of the brand of the case at the moment. But I 
purchased it at the T-Mobile store. It just goes on the back of my 
phone. Then I have a screen protector on the front.



Any thoughts are much appreciated.

3 little words?

Anything further on a navigation app,  only guessing "3 little words" was in 
the title, but that was the basis of the app,  the use 
of 3 almost random reference words.

Anything more about this would be appreciated,  I remember it impressed me last 
year.

Actually, the one that you're referring to was one of my older ones.  This one 
has a USB port on the very top edge of the keyboard and it holds a charge for a 
long time.  I really haven't figured out the length of time, but it's perhaps a 
few months.  I use this keyboard all the time because I feel I can type faster 
than trying to type on the phone. However, I do like to type on the phone just 
to keep up my skills on the touch screen. Good luck on whatever keyboard you 
choose.

I have the Magic Bluetooth keyboard which actually comes from Apple.  It is a 
regular-sized, very light keyboard, and I carry it in a large sized Ziplock bag 
and keep its cord in a smaller Ziplock bag.  It is not foldable, but I love it 
because the weight is very light,  is so easy and I am a fast typist.  However, 
I always check my messages before I send them just in case I make an error.

If it is a copyrighted DAISY with DRM protection, Voice Dream Reader won’t play 
it.
If you have DropBox, try adding to Voice Dream from Dropbox.
You are supposed to be able to add to BARD as well through DropBox, but I have 
never done that.
This assumes the DAISY book is in its zip format.
